![]() ![]() I’d skip the Miller War Chip you may come across. There is space for only one tune on the chip so you would need an add on box. You would need a switch tune or an ethanol content measurer. One problem is that if you want to run pump one day and E85 another day, the ECU has to know which to get the fuel mixture and timing right. ![]() You can find people in the US who will tune your ECU for E85. With tuning, you benefit much more, by leaning out the mixture and/or increasing timing. But if you don’t need it, and it appears you don’t, there will be little to no benefit except perhaps on a very hot day when the ECU might be pulling timing. With no tuning, Generally you can add 10-20% E85 by volume to gas and the ECU and fuel system will tolerate it and octane will be increased slightly. I have studied E85 and mixes but dont use it because none is available locally. I also have a naturally aspirated E90M3 with meth that runs on 93 pump plus meth that is tuned for meth and it flies more like 20-25% by volume relative to gas but can do that since there is a piggyback ECU interfacing with the factory ECU. I use it for octane consistency and enhancement but am not relying on it. It is adding fuel even though the tune is not expecting any-in the range of 10-20% by volume and there are no issues. I have a turbo E36M3 with lowered 9.0:1 compression that runs on 93 pump plus meth with no tuning for the meth. ![]()
